Cushion cover 50x50 "Ginevra"
PLU: 01-05901
L. Da Vinci Collection Winter 2022
Cushion cover "Ginevra" 50×50 cm printed double-sided
Reference to Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Portrait of Ginevra De Benci" (1474-1476) exhibited at the National Gallery of Art (Washington).
The Benci family was one of the great families of Florence. Ginevra Benci (1457-1520) was the daughter of Amerigo Benci. The juniper bush on which Ginevra Benci's bust stands out is a metaphor for her first name. The missing part of the painting can be reconstructed thanks to a drawing in Leonardo's silver mine, kept in Windsor: crossed hands, holding either a bouquet of flowers or an engagement ring.
100% Polyester Velvet Soft Touch
